Man charged in fatal West Manheim Twp. motorcycle crash

WEST MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police have charged a man following a fatal motorcycle crash in West Manheim Township early Saturday morning. 

According to authorities, the two-vehicle crash happened on Baltimore Pike at Garret Road just after 5:45 a.m.

Juan Carlos Bastida-Martinez, 25, was traveling south in a 1995 Ford Windster when he crossed over the road centerlines hitting a motorcycle.

The motorcycle was driven by 64-year-old Steven Miller of Westminster, Maryland. 

Miller died at the scene. Bastida-Martinez was transported to Hanover Hospital and treated for moderate injuries. 

Bastida-Martinez, who is an undocumented immigrant, was arrested following medical treatment and charged with homicide by vehicle. He is awaiting arraignment and has been denied bail.
