Teens find body of missing boater

Posted: Updated:
DOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -  The York County coroner said a body found in the Conewago Creek Sunday morning is that of a missing boater.

Jerry Reisinger, 41, of Wellsville drowned after the boat he was in went over a low-head dam on Thursday.  Sunday, two teens found his body floating near the area known as "The Point" in Washington Township.

The two teens who made the discovery said they fish that area of the creek every Sunday.

"We both saw it at the same time," said Ben Jones. "We both looked and just kind of knew what it was. It was face down and you could see part of his shoulders we wanted to double check before we went calling people that what we saw was actually, you know, what it was."

Reisinger's fishing partner survived.
