CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) - A Camp Hill resident was busy doing yard work Tuesday at their home on the 2900 block of Cumberland Blvd. when police say a young man entered the home through an unlocked door.

Investigators say he left with a watch.

Camp Hill police are looking for a young man with tattoos on his chest. He was last seen riding a purple bike on the Carlisle Pike.

Also on Tuesday, and just five miles west, police in Hampden Township were called to the 6300 block of Creekview Road.

They say the resident had watched a person exit a van and knock on her front door.

"She didn't recognize the subject, therefore did not answer, so they gained entry through the rear of the residence," said Patrolman Matthew Grunden of the Hampden Township police.

He says the homeowner did all the right things by hiding in an upstairs closet and calling 9-1-1.

Police said they arrived and were able to arrest the driver of the van. The second suspect took off. Court paperwork shows that a purse and a gun were missing from the home.

Anyone with any information on either case is asked to call police.
