Man robbed in home during Craigslist deal

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Lancaster County man was robbed at gunpoint in his apartment while trying to sell a ring he advertised on Craigslist, according to police.

East Hempfield Township police said the unknown robber posed as a potential buyer when he went to the Madison Barrcrest Manor apartments on Marietta Avenue Monday night.

He then pulled a small, black semiautomatic handgun and fled the apartment with the ring, which was valued at $3,250.

The victim was not injured.

Police said the robber arrived at the apartment complex around 9:10 p.m. and left at about 9:30 p.m.

He was described as 5'8" - 6'0" tall and in his mid 30's, clean shaven with dirty blond hair, and wearing a black T-shirt.
