Dauphin County investigators are looking into an incident between two top Middletown borough officials.
The acting police chief confirmed there was a confrontation involving Mayor James Curry and spokesman Chris Courogen after a council meeting Monday night.
"On the advice of my attorney, I cannot discuss the matter," Courogen said in a statement to abc27. "Middletown Borough has internal policies and procedures for dealing with these issues and I will follow those procedures. I am not going to discuss the matter in the media."
Curry confirmed an argument took place and police were called. He said the matter has been turned over to the district attorney's office and he could not comment further.
He also confirmed that he asked a bystander to call police because his cell phone was not working.
Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico confirmed his office has been given the case for investigation.
