About 6,000 electricity customers in south-central Pennsylvania remained without power Thursday afternoon as the result of severe storms two days ago.
First Energy companies reported over 5,600 power outages in the area as of 1 p.m., with more than 5,000 customers affected in York County.
The utility also had 221 outages remaining in Cumberland County, and more than 100 each in Adams, Dauphin and Lebanon counties.
Power should be restored to the majority of affected customers by 6 p.m. Friday, according to the company's website.
PPL Electric Utilities reported more than 200 outages remained in the area, and PECO had 62 customers waiting for service to be restored in York County.
