There was a new beginning for a historic church in Perry County on Sunday.
The new Logania Church of God in Wheatfield Township held its first services since a fire destroyed the church last year.
Construction just wrapped up a few weeks ago and church officials are still in the process of moving in. Only a few relics of the old church survived, including the steeple bell and a wooden cross, which has now become a part of the church's new altar.
The April, 2013 fire destroyed the historic church. There's never been an official ruling about what caused it, but officials with the church believe it started in the kitchen.
