Ex-employee accused of armed robbery at Rutter's Farm Store

Northern York County Regional Police have arrested the man accused of an armed robbery at a store he used to work at.

On July 9, police were called to the Rutter’s Farm Store located at 5305 Susquehanna Trail in Conewago Township. Investigators say a male had entered the store, showing that he had a knife.

No one was injured and the suspect, later identified as 19-year-old Gage Cathcart of Manchester, who is a former employee of the store, escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Cathcart and found him in a motel along Route 30 on Saturday.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators found the clothing worn during the robbery, as well as, the knife in the motel room.

Cathcart is charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
