Investigators returned to the scene of a home invasion tied to a deadly shooting Tuesday afternoon to try to figure out just what happened that morning.
Shortly after 2 a.m., Harrisburg Police were called to an incident at South 18th and Chestnut Streets. When officers arrived they found a home invasion had turned into a deadly shooting.
The victim was identified Tuesday morning as 30-year-old Shawn Gillis of Harrisburg.
As part of the investigation, police spoke with neighbors like Camille Erice who has lived in the area for 28 years.
She says the loss of life is tragic and she worries that violent crime will continue to grow in her neighborhood. "We hope the new administration will provide more of a police presence," said Erice, "I hope they realize more foot patrol officers need to spend more time here."
So far police have not made any arrests.
Investigators are asking anyone with information, should contact Harrisburg Police.
