SAN FRANCISCO, CA, July 16, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- AFYA MEDICAL SYSTEMS announced today that they will be attending the 3rd International Congress on Soldiers' Physical Performance in Boston, MA on August 18th - 21st at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel.

AFYA MEDICAL SYSTEMS President/CEO Brian H. Davis stated:

"This is an exciting area for us as it will be our first year attending and there is an outstanding list of renowned speakers from all over the world giving talks on 'cutting edge technology' for the warfighters physical performance. Talks will include a wide range of topics, such as altitude acclimatization, physiological monitoring, and load carrying capacities and there overall impact on soldiers health and wellbeing both during combat and during periods of reprieve from fighting. The conference not only has applications for the warfighter, but can have direct implications for the civilian populations as well as for police and fireman. The scientific session will help us design better clothing, equipment, protective gear, foods, supplements, fluid replacements, and information technologies can be incorporated to augment and enhance physical readiness and deployment."

Two members of the AFYA team will be attending as well as an industry expert and partner (Dr. Paul Arciero) from Skidmore College.
