Bedford Co., VA - The Bedford Regional Water Authority board voted against giving a developer credits in exchange for him helping pay for a sewer line at an elementary school.
There is a septic system failure at Moneta Elementary. George Aznavorian pledged $100,000 thousand dollars toward fixing it, then asked for the same amount in credits for future development.
The authority says it would take 25 years to recoup that money.
The board did vote to waive the $60,000 dollar hookup fee for the school.
