Campbell Co., VA – The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection with an Evington woman’s death.

They say deputies were called out to a house on Lisa Ann Lane at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, where they found Valerie Harris, 46, with multiple stab wounds. She died after being transported to Lynchburg General Hospital.

The Sheriff’s Office says Harris had been in an altercation with Debra Fay Crews-Newman, 46, of Rustburg and Glenn Conway Farmer, 54, of Rustburg at a social gathering at the house. They were later arrested.

Crews-Newman has been charged with second degree murder. Farmer has been charged with assault and battery, and with aiding and assisting Crews-Newman. Both are being held at the Campbell County Adult Detention Center without bond.
