Plane carrying teens and ICE officials lands at HIA

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

There are a lot of questions surrounding a plan that landed at Harrisburg's airport earlier this week.

Abc27 received pictures of several teens getting off the charter flight with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Tuesday. They got into vans and drove away.

Some people are wondering if they're refugee children from Central America. HIA officials said they didn't know anything about it.

ICE would not confirm or deny what they were doing. That doesn't sit well with Midstate Congressman Lou Barletta, who has been outspoken on immigration issues.

"I believe that each community and each state should be notified at least 30 days prior to any individual being sent...comment period before these minors are shipped to our area," Barletta said.

Abc27 reached out to a handful of Midstate organizations that could take immigrant children and each said they were not handling any immediate arrivals.
