Clouds increase today, unsettled weather pattern ahead

Posted: Updated:
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - Yesterday's cold front that brought some morning rain showers moved south and provided a nice afternoon and evening for Central PA. That front is now rather stationary and sitting just to the south of the Commonwealth. While this week will not be a complete wash-out, it will be a bit unsettled compared with our recent weather as that stalled boundary will allow atmospheric impulses to ride along it and bring the threat of rain to our region on nearly a daily basis.

Today will begin with sunshine and see increasing clouds as moisture increases from the south and east. In fact, easterly flow later today will also help move moisture into the region (in the form of clouds). While no rain is expected during the daylight hours, clouds will thicken quickly by evening. There could be a few stray showers overnight -- but again -- most areas will likely stay dry. Tomorrow will also bring mainly cloudy skies and a few stray showers. Highs this week look to stay in the lower 80s.
