BALTIMORE, Md. (WHTM) -

The Horseshoe Casino Baltimore is almost ready to open its doors to the public.

Crews are putting the finishing touches inside the $442 million entertainment facility.

The casino has several restaurants situated in a food court and bars that serve drinks around the clock.

The complex has more than 2,500 video lottery terminals and slot machines, along with a 25-table "World Series of Poker" room.

The Horseshoe is home to more than 1,700 employees. Many of the new hires came from Pennsylvania casinos including Hollywood Casino in Grantville.

Noah Hirsch, Vice President of Marketing at the new casino, says they offer good pay and want to attract the best talent to provide top quality service to their guests.

Hirsch says they will try to attract customers from Adams and York counties.

"It's constant competition every day," he said. "We have been encouraged about the market in Maryland."

The Horseshoe Casino is scheduled to open August 26.
