Carlisle man arrested for theft of $20K in tent poles

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Carlisle man has been arrested for the theft of some 300 aluminum tent poles that were estimated to be worth about $20,000.

Jeffrey A. Carson, 39, is accused of stealing the tent poles from a trailer parked at the Carlisle Fairgrounds on August 14, according to borough police.

Carson was committed to Cumberland County Prison on $20,000 bail.

He was also wanted in York County for a theft charge, and police said he was also arraigned on a drug paraphernalia charge from Middlesex Township and given an additional $10,000 bail.
