Police investigate apparent homicide in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

The death of a man found in a Lancaster apartment early Wednesday is being investigated as an apparent homicide.

Lancaster police said they responded to the apartment in the 800 block of N. Lime Street just after 2 a.m. for what was initially dispatched as a cardiac arrest.

They entered the apartment and found the man was dead and had visible traumatic injuries.

A friend of the victim found the body and called police. The friend is cooperating with investigators, authorities said.

The man's name and age was not immediately released.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
