High pressure building into the region from Canada will help mark a return to calmer conditions and quieter weather through the end of the work week. Today will be especially nice with sunny skies and comfortable temperatures, around 80 degrees. Tonight will be cool for this time of year with clear skies leading temperatures to fall into the mid to upper 50s -- it might be a chance to give the A/C a break before it gets another workout heading into the weekend. Tomorrow and Friday remain sunny with just a slight bump in highs each day.

Speaking of the weekend though -- the high will be offshore by then and return southwesterly flow around the back of that system will pump very warm and humid air back into Central PA. While most days should remain dry and hot, the increase in humidity could spark a daily threat for stray thunderstorms from the weekend through early next week.
