Adis is a proud Pittsburgh native and is thrilled to be working in his home state!
Adis was inspired to pursue his love for weather back during 5th grade when a thunderstorm plowed through his childhood neighborhood and caused massive damage. After seeing the true force of mother nature, Adis became interested in thunderstorms, then eventually winter storms and all kinds of different weather that come with Pennsylvania!
Adis became heavily involved in his high school’s TV production studio as a freshman, and this gave him his first on-air forecasting experience which he continued through his senior year. He was always the one his fellow classmates went to when there was a chance of a snow day!
All through high school, Adis knew he wanted to go to Penn State. While there, Adis got further experience in broadcasting as well as forecasting. He interned at the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh after his sophomore year and then interned at WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio before his senior year. That internship quickly turned into a fill-in meteorology position which Adis continued all through his senior year!
Adis graduated with his B.S. degree in Meteorology from Penn State in May of 2018, with a specialization in forecasting and communications.
Adis loves to travel and spend time with his family. His favorite sports teams are the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State, and the Bosnia-Herzegovina national team, in no particular order!
His favorite part of the job is participating in local events and visiting schools.
If you are a school official looking for a weather lesson or demo, send Adis an e-mail!
