Born, raised, and educated in the 717, I returned home in July 2018 to join the ABC 27 News team as a nightside reporter. Most recently, I worked as a reporter/producer in Charlotte, NC for two years and before that, I was a reporter/fill-in anchor at WJET in the snowiest place on earth (at least in my opinion) – Erie, PA!
I grew up on Maple Donuts, Long’s Park chicken BBQ, Martin’s Potato Chips and the irresistible goodness fried up every year at the York Fair. I discovered a knack for writing and talking at a young age, so reporting the news and talk of the town fits me rather well. I’ve covered dozens of high-profile stories in my short career, including the riots in Charlotte after the shooting death of Keith Scott, the passing of America’s pastor Billy Graham as well as intense wildfires that burned for months in the North Carolina high country.
Whether I’m talking about puppies up for adoption or pressing a politician for answers, I have a true passion for storytelling – there’s nothing quite like the daily challenge of setting up stories and interviews, shooting my own footage, editing and then delivering it live. You should give it a try – it’s not nearly as glamorous as it looks, I promise.
I am not an award-winning journalist, but trophies aren’t everything – plus, my grandma thinks I’m pretty great. When I’m not lost in the compliments of those close to me, I’m an avid car enthusiast and can often be found rummaging through an old junkyard looking for parts. I’m a celebrity/Hollywood junkie and can tell you more about the red carpet and reality TV than I care to admit.
If you see me out and about, say HEY – there’s a 90% chance I’ll say hey back. Just kidding, of course I’ll say hi…I love meeting viewers!
