Ben Schad joined ABC27 in April 2021 as a Digital Producer. Originally from Claymont, Delaware, Ben went to Millersville University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting.
It was at the ‘Ville where Ben worked on a variety of shows for MUTV, hosted his own radio show on 91.7 WIXQ and provided play-by-play commentary for almost all Marauder home games. He also made an award-winning short film in under 24 hours with his best friends and served as a student IT technician.
In the year between graduation and ABC27, Ben worked a few odd jobs before moving to Mechanicsburg to be closer with his fiancée. Shortly after, he helped produce and commentate live streams for the Mechanicsburg Wildcats Athletics.
When Ben is not at work, he enjoys spending time and sometimes working out with his fiancée, cheering or yelling at his favorite sports teams, listening to The Prodigy, KNOWER, or The Who, or just simply enjoying some time with his beloved PlayStation2.
