Christine McLarty is the morning reporter for ABC27 News Daybreak.
A three-time-Emmy-nominated journalist, Christine has received awards from The Society of Professional Journalists, Associated Press and Radio Television Digital News Association.
Christine was born and raised in Florida and has been passionate about journalism from a young age. Before joining ABC27 News in April 2016 Christine was a reporter, anchor and producer in Sarasota, Florida for ABC 7 News and SNN News. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2013 (Go Gators!).
During her career in journalism Christine has covered everything from breaking new and homicides to political races and community events.
Outside the office Christine enjoys tennis, exploring the outdoors and traveling. She is strong in her faith after overcoming a brain tumor found when she was 3-years-old. Now healthy and thriving, Christine loves spending quality time with family, friends & volunteering to raise awareness for causes that help others. Professionally trained vocally Christine loves to sing and even tried out for American Idol years ago!
