Christine loves learning the latest and greatest technology. In 2019 she created a Digital Weekly Series with a video podcast on a system called OBS with a gamer-switchboard where she highlighted an inspirational person or organization in the community each week. The community nominates candidates and the segment is broadcast on multiple social media platforms, on-air and on our website. One example of a story Christine continued to follow with this segment was that of 19-year-old Eric Erdman. Eric was bullied by peers as a child, physically abused as an early teen and later in his teen years was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. We followed Eric’s story the last 6 months of his life where he was spending every waking second of his days helping others.

During her career in journalism, Christine has covered countless breaking news stories, from a Movie Theater Shooting that gained national attention to 4-foot snowstorms and Category 4 Hurricanes. One story from Christine’s career that stands out is that of a young teenage boy, Torin Dworchak, murdered by other teens he thought were his friends. She did a follow-up story with his family months later to learn what a kind-hearted boy Torin was who always longed to be accepted.

Outside the office, Christine enjoys tennis, swimming laps and traveling to experience new restaurants and wineries. She is strong in her faith after overcoming a brain tumor found when she was 3-years-old. Now healthy and thriving, Christine loves spending quality time with family, friends & volunteering to raise awareness for causes that help others.

Professionally trained vocally Christine loves to sing and even tried out for American Idol years ago! She’s had a passion for Broadcast Journalism since she was seven years old and loves advocating for others, being a voice for the voiceless and serving her community. Reach out if you ever want her to emcee a charity event!
