Evan Popalis joined the abc27 team in May 2023 and is excited and grateful to get to cover Central PA.
Evan graduated from Warwick High School in Lititz in 2018 and earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism at Penn State.
Evan has done a wide variety of broadcasting in his career. He was a part of the lead anchor duo for the Centre County Report and a Sports Director for the student-run radio station, CommRadio. His voice has been heard on ESPN+ for baseball and Big Ten Plus for multiple sports. He covered Penn State football and men’s hockey during his college tenure. Evan was the host of the 2022 Penn State Homecoming Parade livestream.
