Mac Bell is a Pennsylvania native who was born, raised, and still resides in Palmyra, Pa. He graduated from Palmyra Area High School in 2017 and afterwards attended Harrisburg Area Community College for a year.
The following year, he transferred to Slippery Rock University (SRU) where he would later receive his Bachelor of Science in communications: Converged Journalism, as well as a political science minor at “The Rock.”
During his time at SRU, Mac was the assistant news editor of the independent student-run newspaper called The Rocket. He was also a member of the television news organization on-campus called WSRU-TV where he had the chance to anchor for a news program called “On the Rocks.”
After four long years away from home, Mac finally graduated from SRU in the Summer of 2022 after completing his internship with WGAL News 8.
He started with ABC 27 News as a Digital Business Reporter in October 2022. His main goal is to eventually become an on-air reporter/anchor and continue to find ways to serve this Central Pennsylvanian community for years to come!
