Michella Drapac joined the ABC27 news team in January of 2019 as the weekend morning anchor/reporter.
She previously worked as the morning and noon anchor/producer and reporter at WDVM in Hagerstown for four years. Before that, she worked for WSLS in Roanoke, VA where she started as a news producer in May 2010, working for that first year while still attending Virginia Tech. After graduation, she moved to the morning show, where she worked overnight. That’s when she started drinking coffee for the first time! Michella was promoted to the 5 p.m. newscast her final year, and even did a little reporting.
Michella’s dream, ever since she was a little girl, was to be a reporter. She is the oldest of seven children, enjoys movies, running, and her Virginia Tech Hokies. She grew up in Minnesota, where it reached -27°F one winter. Needless to say, she is no stranger to the cold.
