Tonight’s Hometown Hero is an anonymous donor to the Salvation Army of the Harrisburg Capital City region.
Two days before Christmas, the Red Kettle campaign was more than $30,000 short of its goal but on Christmas Eve, this Hometown Hero dropped a letter in a kettle with an offer and the means to fill the gap.
The donation was so generous, this year’s campaign wound up topping last year.
