Tonight’s Hometown Heroes are helping students get ready to head back to school.
New Hope Ministries held a “Back to school days craze” at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lemoyne on Monday morning.
They gave more than 200 kids backpacks loaded with school supplies, along with haircuts, and vision screenings.
“We really want to build community and we want to help any neighbors who are struggling to get those school supplies. It can be expensive for families. So we provide a brand new backpack and some great school supplies so the kids feel good going to school,” said Denise Chase, Office Manager, New Hope Ministries.
This is the first year for this event in Lemoyne.
