(WHTM) — This week on Destination Pennsylvania we take you on a journey across the Commonwealth to some of the most popular, and sometimes less known, travel destinations the state has to offer.

We begin our travels in Harrisburg at the State Capitol. While lawmakers are making history, they are also surrounded by historical beauty. abc27’s Dennis Owens takes us through the complex.

Then, we venture over to the only town in the state where the commonwealth’s biggest agricultural fair is held. abc27’s Seth Kaplan guides us through Bloomsburg.

It might take a few hours to get from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, but in the 1800s, a trip was days long, using mainly canals except for the portion over the Allegheny Mountains between Hollidaysburg and Johnstown. That required a railroad system. WTAJ’s Courtney Murphy takes us to the Allegheny Portage Historical Site.

A bridge in Pennsylvania was called the eighth wonder of the world when finished in 1882, but in 2003, a tornado destroyed most of the historic Kinzua Viaduct. The remains of that day became a skywalk, which WJET’s Jill McCormick gives us a tour on.

Then, we head to the other side of the state. When you think of Pocono Mountains, you may think of snow and winter sports. But, as WPHL’s Alyssa Sullivan tells us, it is drawing crows all year long.

Finally, WBRE’s Sydney Kostus visited Mountain Creek Riding Stables to show us how it has grown since 1993.
