Since 1914, Bethesda Mission has been serving Harrisburg’s homeless population, offering food, shelter, counseling, and care in the name of Christ to men, women, and children in need. In order to raise awareness and funds to support this important work, the Mission is teaming up with the Harrisburg Senators for a new event called, “Boxes in the Ballpark.”
On May 27th, baseball fans can come watch the Senators game, then, following the game and fireworks, spend the night around the boardwalk at FNB Field.
Tickets for this all-night event include the baseball game, fireworks, box decorating, a movie, sleep-out on the boardwalk, and breakfast in the morning.
Fans spending the night will be invited to construct and decorate cardboard box shelters, learn more about how Bethesda Mission is helping the homeless in Harrisburg, and watch the movie, “Same Kind of Different as Me” before spending the night in the stadium.
