Refresh your home with fall decor

Good Day PA

It’s that time of year to get your home ready for fall.

Melissa Stover, an interior designer at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, recommends using a warmer color palette: red, bronze, terracotta, orange, dark purple, green, and mustard in any room in your home.

Another idea is to spruce up your front door by adding a fall wreath. Decorate your porch with pumpkins, gourds, and mums to make a great first impression on your guests.

Finally, a great way to refresh your home for fall is to change out your accessories. You can do this by incorporating decorative pillows in warmer colors, and adding throws in fall prints like a plaid or buffalo check.

You can also incorporate a throw with a heavier texture like a faux fur, chunky knit, or tweed, and swap out your current artwork for a fall landscape scene.

Incorporate an area rug in a warmer color palette, and use candles on those early fall nights to bring a sense of warmth to your space.
