Neighborhood Alert: Hit-run driver, shoplifters sought by police

Police are looking for a hit-run driver and a pair of shoplifters.

Police in West Manchester Township, in York County, say video cameras at the Royal Farms on Loucks Road caught a driver checking out his car after he was involved in a hit-and-run. The driver of the dark-colored GMC SUV struck another car traveling east on Route 30 on April 23, pushing it into the concrete barrier. The driver of that car was injured and taken to a hospital. Police in Derry Township, in Dauphin County, are looking for two men who used a stolen credit card to buy over $1,000 worth of sunglasses at the Tanger Outlets on April 10. Police say one of the men had a limp and used a cane to walk. If you recognize them, call the department at 717-534-2202.

Carlisle police are looking for a man who stole several chainsaws from the Lowe’s on East High Street. A few days later, police say he went back to the store and was caught on camera putting $800 worth of tools in a cart. When he tried to leave without playing, he was stopped by an employee and fled.
