Neighborhood Alert: Prescription fraud, inflatable house theft


Police are looking for the person who stole a ‘Dora the Explorer’ inflatable house.

The inflatable house worth nearly $2,000 was put out to dry after a cleaning and was stolen, along with two blowers, from the first block of South Queen Street in Shippensburg on April 19. Anyone with information should call Shippensburg police at 717-532-7361.

Police in Lower Allen Township, in Cumberland County, are looking for a man involved in prescription fraud at a CVS pharmacy. Someone pretending to be a doctor from Washington, D.C. attempted to prescribe codeine, and the man police are looking for showed up to pick up the prescription. Pharmacy workers tried to stall him until police could arrive, but he took off. If you can identify him, call the police department at 717-975-7575.

Police say tires and wheels were stolen off a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Poplar Street in Columbia. The theft of the Niche-brand wheels happened overnight Monday. Phone tips to Columbia police at 717-684-7735.

Ephrata police are looking for a man who stole a large TV from Walmart. If you recognize him, call 717-738-9200.
