HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - The Department of Agriculture found insects and old milk in this weeks restaurant report
MOD Pizza on Rohrerstown Road in Lancaster was out of compliance with 15 violations The inspection report says employees were preparing food while not wearing a beard cover, and raw dough was being stored on the bottom rack in the walk-in cooler where it could be splashed from standing water. Employees were observed not washing hands between tasks, and small-winged insects were found near the mechanical dishwasher.
Uni-Mart on Main Street in McSherrystown was out of compliance with nine violations. The inspector found milk containers being kept past the expiration date, and ceiling tiles in the retail area were broken, warped, soiled and stained. Soap was not available at the handwash sink, and the person in charge does not have adequate knowledge of food safety.
Establishments with no violations include Brickyard Restaurant and Sports Bar in Lancaster, Eh's Produce in Chambersburg, Building Blockz Academy in Camp Hill, and Taipei Chinese restaurant in Harrisburg.
