CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) — Carlisle Police have arrested the suspect involved in a morning stabbing at the E. High Street Speedway convenience store.

Carlisle Police identified the suspect as James Allen Brown Jr. of Harrisburg. Brown faces charges including robbery and aggravated assault.

Just before 6 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, police say Brown entered the store planning to rob it and stabbed an employee. The employee was taken to an area hospital for “numerous wounds” and has since been released.

“We were obviously more concerned about the injuries that the employee sustained. Now thankfully we did just get information…that he has been treated and released from the hospital so that’s great news,” Sgt. William David Miller said.

PA State Police Forensic Unit assisted Carlisle Police in the processing of the scene and collection of evidence.
