There was a one-of-a-kind prom in the Midstate last week.

Known for her high-fives and hugs, Bryanna Wright won the hearts of the student body at Williams Valley High School and was crowned prom queen.

The 18-year-old has become a staple at the school, even though she attends a separate program from the rest of the student body due to Down syndrome.

Around the corridors and classrooms, she’s known as “Queen B.” Wright loves to show people she cares about them and teachers say she makes friends wherever she goes.

At last Friday’s prom, the junior and senior students said Bryanna should be the one to take home the crown.

They say their votes didn’t just focus on popularity, but say it was her kindness that really counted.
