Friday’s hometown heroes are the bowlers who participated in the Merakey Foundation’s eighth annual fundraiser.

ABC Lanes East was packed all day.

The bowlers raised money for the organization, which supports community members with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

“Everyone’s really excited because we’re actually getting out of our offices,” said Rebecca Mann of the Merakey Foundation. “We actually have some of the people that we serve here with us, so it’s a great day to collaborate and remember why we do what we do.”

This was one of eight bowling fundraisers happening across the country to support the Merakey Foundation.
