LANCASTER, Pa.(WHTM) — One man was wounded after he was stabbed in Lancaster early Sunday morning. The suspect, in this case, has also been arrested.

According to the Lancaster Bureau of Police, at around 6:36 am. officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police were dispatched to the 700 Block of East Walnut Street for a report of a stabbing. EMS was also dispatched to this location.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult man with a deep laceration across his face, extending from ear to ear. One officer was able to locate a witness and got information on what occurred.

The officer carried out the investigation and was able to identify the wanted suspect who is Alex Lamont Baker. The investigation concluded that Baker engaged in a verbal argument prior to the assault. Baker obtained a box cutter from a nearby home, confronted and held the victim by the hair, and slashed the victim across the face.

Officers have arrested and charged Baker with a felony count of aggravated assault. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
