YORK, Pa. (WHTM) — A man was pronounced dead on Wednesday night, two days after a shooting took place in York City, according to the York County Coroner.
Milford Singletary, 29, of York City, was injured in a shooting that took place in the 500 block of Walnut Street around 8:15 p.m. Monday night. He was transported from the scene to WellSpan York Hospital. Despite life savings efforts, he was pronounced dead on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.

According to the York County Coroner’s office, an autopsy has been scheduled for later this week at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown to determine the cause and manner of death.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide. According to the coroner, Singleton’s death marks the seventh homicide in York County this year and six of the seven were in York City.
