YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — One person has died after they were involved in a motorcycle crash during the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 3.
According to the coroner, Clarence Bupp, 38-year-old of Springettsbury Township was pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday, September 3 with the cause of death being multiple blunt force trauma.
According to a report from the York County Coroner’s office, their office was dispatched to an area near Furnace Road and Codorus Furnace Road in Hellam Township for a single motorcycle crash.
The coroner states that Bupp left the roadway and went airborne before hitting some trees and coming to a stop. The coroner also says that Bupp was ejected during the incident.
The report then says that a passerby who saw some debris from the crash came upon the motorcycle and the man lying in the field and dialed 911.
The coroner’s report says there will be no autopsy but that a routine toxicology was obtained. The report also says the name of the man will be released once next of kin has been notified.
