YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The biggest 24-hour giving event in York County history, Give Local York, returned on Friday.

For the fourth consecutive year, 302 nonprofits participated in the live stream event running from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Once again the event broke its own record raising $3,742,525 through 11,087 donors and 20,737 gifts.

Participants this year were able to join the Give Local York all-new, real-time virtual event dashboard that showcased total dollars raised, top participating organizations, leaderboard updates, donor feed and more.

Last year, the event raised $3.5 million for more than 300 local nonprofits in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Since its founding, Give Local York has raised $8 million for local nonprofits from more than 15,000 donors from all over the region, state, country and world.
