YORK, Pa. (WHTM) — York Police have identified a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old on Sept. 27 who may be armed and dangerous.

York Police say a warrant has been issued for Tyrell Christian in connection to the shooting. On Thursday the York County Coroner’s office identified the victim as Ethan Mooney, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

“If you see (Christian) do not apprehend or go after just call your local authorities or call 911 and let them know that you do see him,” said Andy Baez Acting Commander, York City Police Dept. Detective Division. “Like I said, as always it’s a homicide, so he could be considered armed and dangerous.”

Around 11:50 p.m. on Sept. 27, York Police responded to the 500 block of W. Market Street where they found Mooney with multiple gunshot wounds.

According to the coroner’s office, Mooney was transported to WellSpan York Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 12:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
