YORK, Pa. (WHTM) — According to Police Chief John Snyder at West Manchester Township Police Department, officers have made their first arrest in connection to the deadly movie theater shooting.
Authorities arrested 19-year-old Jalen Bellaflores of York on Thursday and charged him with criminal homicide as well as conspiracy to commit criminal homicide.
According to a criminal complaint, police were able to locate the man who had called 911 saying that his girlfriend had been shot in the face.
A witness in the theater informed police to the body of Andre White Jr., where he was found dead at the scene from gunshot wounds to the chest.
Both victims were transported to the hospital, where the coroner pronounced White deceased.
After viewing surveillance footage police were able to determine that two male suspects were responsible for the shooting. The footage showed the two suspects arrived at the theater at approximately 10:06 p.m. and walked past the ticket station without confrontation into theater 6.
Police were able to determine that the shootings were targeted and not a random event. The one suspect then shot White before both of them exited the theater.
