Body found at Harrisburg elementary school

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Officials are investigating after a body was found on the property of the former Steele Elementary School, which closed in 2010.

The discovery was made around 7 a.m. in the rear of the property off of North Fifth Street in the city’s Uptown section.

Neighbors tell abc27 that police told them the man appeared to be in his 40’s.

Police said they are awaiting the results of an autopsy, but said the death appeared to be from a medical issue.Stay with abc27 on-air and online for updates.
