This is beauty and the beast for 2019. The Ram 2500 is all new, with a beefed-up frame and suspension. It comes with lots of options, like special wheels and chrome steps, which make our review truck a beauty.
Here is the beast, an optional 6.7 Liter in-line diesel engine for an extra $9,000. It gives the Ram amazing towing ability, it can pull almost ten tons.
It’s a hard worker, but there’s lots to pamper the owner too. With the optional big-horn package, the interior is luxurious and comfortable.
There are storage bnins and all sorts of power outlets almost everywhere. The U-Connect touch screen is easy to understand and quick to respond.
This truck also has the optional mega-cab with extra room in row two for people and stuff.
There’s even cargo room, some of it covered, behind row two.
Another really handy option on this truck is a tri-fold tonneau cover. It’s 700 bucks and really gives this truck a lot of flexibility as far as protecting cargo.
For a truck that can pull 10 tons, the ride is surprisingly smooth and it’s easy to drive. Finding a place to park this behemoth is another story.
So for the 2019 Ram 2500 Big Horn Mega Cab 6.7 Liter, I say thumbs up to amazing towing ability, great cargo space, and comfortable interior.
I say thumbs down to the huge price tag, and huge size.
The review truck averaged about 19 miles per gallon, and the as-reviewed sticker price, just over $68,000.
