HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — The Midstate reality market has historically been neither a bust nor a boom. abc27 continues its look at why people moving to the Midstate and what is causing houses to fly off the shelves for higher prices than ever before.
abc27 reporter Seth Kaplan sat down with National Real Estate Expert Amanda Pendleton from Zillow to understand the recent housing trends.
“This crazy market is being driven by unrelenting demand and that’s coming from demographic and pandemic-led trends,” Pendleton said. “Millennials are the largest generation group in the country and they’re aging into their home-buying years.”
The COVID-19 pandemic has also lead many to reconsider the home they’re living in — whether it meets the needs of a modern, work-from-home individual.
“Real estate technology is allowing them to do that and giving them the confidence to move forward,” Pendleton added.
