American Honda recalls ROVs for fire risk

TORRANCE, Calif. (WHTM) - American Honda has recalled 56,000 recreational off-road vehicles for an incorrectly installed throttle body that can ignite, posing fire and burn hazards.

The company has received five reports of throttle body igniting, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The recall is for all 2016 through 2017 and some model year 2018 Honda Pioneer 1000 side-by-side vehicles.

Owners should stop using the recalled ROVs and contact an authorized Honda Powersports dealer to schedule an appointment for a free inspection and repair.

Honda is contacting all known purchasers directly.
