Kids II recalls all rocking sleepers after 5 infant deaths

ATLANTA (WHTM) – Kids II is recalling nearly 700,000 rocking sleepers linked to at least five infant deaths since the product was introduced in 2012.

The company announced Friday that it is recalling all models of its rocking sleepers. Kids II sleepers were sold at major retailers nationwide, including Walmart, Target and Toys “R” Us, from March 2012 through April 2019.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said people should immediately stop using Kids II rocking sleepers and contact the company for a refund or voucher.

The recall comes two weeks after Fisher-Price recalled five million of its Rock ’n Play sleepers in which more than 30 babies died since the product was introduced in 2009.

The deaths in both sleepers occurred after infants rolled from their backs to their stomachs or sides while unrestrained, or under other circumstances.
