Couple accused of stealing $99K from elderly neighbor

DAUPHIN, Pa. (WHTM) – A Dauphin County couple is accused of stealing nearly $100,000 from their elderly neighbor.

Kelly Ruhl and her husband David, of Middle Paxton Township, used the 88-year-old woman’s debit card numerous times between July and November and stole about $99,000 from her bank account, state police in Harrisburg said in a news release.

Kelly Ruhl, 37, is charged with 100 counts of access device fraud, 34 counts of burglary, and one count of theft. She was placed in Dauphin County Prison on $100,000 bail.

David Ruhl, 42, was released on bond. He is charged with one count each of theft, burglary, identity theft, and access device fraud.
