Fire kills 2, injures firefighter in West Hempfield Township


LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) –  Two people died and a firefighter was injured after a house fire, according to West Hempfield Fire and Rescue.

Crews were called to the home on Marietta Avenue around 11:50 Saturday night.

Fire officials said five people were inside the home. Three people made it out but it is not clear if they were hurt.

The two other people were trapped and did not survive.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
