NEW OXFORD, Pa. (WHTM) – A retirement complex under construction was destroyed by a fire just before two Saturday morning in Oxford Township.

Firefighters arrived at the retirement home at Cross Keys Village as flames were shooting from the building.

Several propane cylinders exploded while crews put out the fire.

Brethren Home Community was going to be a new Alzheimers facility, projected to open this summer.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

None of the residents in the community’s occupied buildings were hurt.
